Simply signed upwardly because I was trying to buy a cell phone that required a credit cheque and they said that Equifax denied my credit - some sort of error came up. What?! I have astonishing credit! But for a cell phone? So I signed upward and saw nothing out of the ordinary, except for a company that was listed every bit an open account that had been closed over a year agone. I decided I had to telephone them to go some clarification, and they said that it was because they just hadn't updated the payments, so information technology was simply a technical error on their office that made it wait like my credit wasn't adequate. WHAT?! Then I was denied credit for a prison cell phone considering of their error.
And so I tried to cancel my account and so I wouldn't be charged and they said, "Ma'am we advise that you go on it for now so that you can make certain that everything has gone through correctly." Seriously? So I kept it because I was already flustered. Then a month went by and during that time I tried to sign in iii times online but couldn't get in. Tried phoning a couple times only beingness on hold isn't easy when you lot have express fourth dimension. By and then, I was charged their monthly fee, so I phoned them again, this fourth dimension staying on hold until I got through. (Customer Service Rep was very professional - this review is not a reflection on her at all, merely on the company itself.) Turns out, my phone number wasn't fifty-fifty on file correctly so that was a hassle and a half. We finally got in after discussing details to prove my identity, explained the state of affairs, and she was able to cancel the account and credit me half of the monthly charge, so there is some satisfaction in that.

I've subscribed to Equifax and TransUnion for several years now. I figure it's the all-time way to keep track of my credit score and security. Equifax has repeatedly locked me out of my business relationship, uses tracking on its website that are so onerous that it locks out Whatsoever browser or personal estimator that is not completely unsecured. I will not turn off my firewall, anti-virus merely to utilize this service. It's absurd. This service that claims to have my security in mind, demands that I plough it all off, simply to apply the service. How does this make sense? They refuse to reimburse me for the several months they've locked me out and can't seem to figure out why or how it's happening.

Equifax consummate was purchased which includes a secondary family member to also join. From day one they were not able to utilize the product, even later multiple phone calls. Then Equifax updated their online website and I was then not able to log in, getting a message that my information was non correct. Multiple telephone calls later in that location was no solution for me. I've finally cancelled after wasting a few hundred dollars and my time.

Their customer service agents are so incompetent and have no idea of what they are doing, they volition place you on a long concur. Keep telling you to call up. You will continue calling back for a year and all they do is escalate with no resolution! I am very disappointed with Equifax Canada, information technology's unfortunate that they don't care about anything but to charge y'all. Very useless visitor!

I am not putting downward the person just doing their task at all, they were very respectful. The visitor notwithstanding is ridiculous. It took near 3 minutes to make an Equifax account. To cancel it nevertheless took more than an hour, requiring way more info than I needed to make the account, which is a shamelessly obvious attempt at making more money by making information technology difficult to cancel your subscription.
I originally needed something called a "Key Number" for my property which I have never heard of. I had to ask for a supervisor then I was put on agree for well-nigh x minutes, later on which I was told the supervisor is busy on a telephone call but we can abolish your subscription with but a flake more info. Needed the credit limit of my credit card and line of credit to cancel. Makes no sense considering all I needed to make the business relationship was my proper name, date of nascence, e-mail and SIN but any. Finally got it done, simply after this feel, never going back to Equifax. Use Credit Karma. They are gratuitous and give the same information.

I had a drove and disputed it on all the credit companies. They all deleted after dispute and Equifax result was item deleted merely I however meet it. It's not authentic info and equifax still holds it every bit unpaid. It just hurts my credit and I wanna hire a house. This really suck!

Equifax is not reporting 3 of my revolving credit card accounts with exceptional credit payment history. This is UNACCEPTABLE and HORRIBLE Customer service. This is impacting my ability to obtain needed credit due to their disability to postal service correct information, yet charge me as a customer on a monthly ground for inaccurate information. Anyone out hither know of a valid telephone number to speak to an agent besides the ane that I listed or an email. They accept zero email addresses listed also. Equifax needs to update their organisation. Mailing requests in is so old school and nonexistent at this time. Ridiculous!!!! If an Equifax client service is reading this...postal service updated information to aid your customers or I will continue to post negative reviews on a daily basis.

I tried to logging in and the organization said y'all don't accept an account. Delight register. I annals to which the organisation said "you already have an account" and re-routes me to the login folio to which I enter my credentials to which information technology says "sorry, yous don't have an account" and there is NO option for password re-sent. What kind of system is this? Not fifty-fifty a telephone number to telephone call? Yet, when I want to purchase a package, lots of options! Anybody, go to Credit Karma - the user face is so much friendlier and you literally get your credit score in about three or 4 clicks.

I take been keeping up on my credit report due to being the victim of identity theft. I have at present recorded a number of instances where Equifax has given my credit information to people or companies I did not authorize and do non have accounts with. I contacted their privacy office to file a complaint and they refused telling me to simply call the telephone call center but I can't get anyone on the phone. I likewise plant out they had multiple incorrect phone numbers listed under my name and they accept non corrected the issue.

They won't remove an inquiry from an account I didn't open. They wouldn't exercise information technology from when I submitted a dispute online, so I called and they told me I need to contact Citi to request that they send Equifax documentation. I did that. I got a alphabetic character from Citi saying that they sent Equifax the documentation. It says that it may take a while to reflect on my report. A few months later still not removed. I call Equifax they say they don't have documentation. I call Citi and because the fraudulent account was airtight and it's been then long, they now no longer have whatever record of the account. Nonetheless, Equifax kept telling me that Citi needs to handle it even though I explained all this. And so they say I need to file a police report. Why would I file a police report on an account that was opened and closed last twelvemonth?
They say file a FTC report. Okay, if that'south what I accept to practice then fine. Only why is it so difficult to have it removed??? All the other credit bureaus had it removed afterwards I disputed it with them. They check with Citi themselves and establish that they could remove it since I didn't open it. Simply Equifax either doesn't do that or somehow the Credit Carte du jour visitor who opened the business relationship and so did their own investigation to close the account and saying information technology'due south fraudulent isn't adept enough for Equifax. They want you to jump through unnecessary hoops to do what the other bureaus did hands. And the customer service reps are rude; they cut y'all off and talk over yous and don't take the patience to listen to the state of affairs. They merely want to be done with y'all without any endeavor.
